The title of this event, “A Rare Encounter — Louis, Joseph & Pio”, was in recognition of the names of those associated with the champagne house and and wine producers who were celebrated during the evening. The event also acknowledged the unique collaboration between Louis Roederer and Phillippe Starck in the production of the Brut Nature 2006 — a stunning vintage that has set the media alight with interest since it was released.
The evening started with the Louis Roederer Brut Premier and then we experienced the alchemy of Louis Roederer (who crafted this fine vintage) and Philipps Starck (who designed the label). The result: the exquisite Louis Roederer et Philippe Starck Brut Nature 2006.

The entrée was complemented by the Meursault and the main course was paired with the Barbera d’Alba Pio Cesare Magnum 2007. Then came the dessert, which was served with a fine Tawny Port and the meal finished with coffee and petits fours.
The evening was hosted by Mark Bingley, Master of Wine, of prestige wine importers, Maisons Marques & Domaines, who supplied the champagne and wines for this event.
